Powerboat Level 1: The first of the 'powerboat level...' awards
Powerboat level 2 is the award recognised as a minimum to skipper a power boat such as our RIB. The course contains all you need to know for self-sufficient power boating at a basic level. Upon completion of the course, you should be competent to take a power boat out on your own with an awareness of the limitations of the boat. The minimum age is 12, although those under 16 will receive an endorsed certificate.
Short Range Certificate (SRC): Essential if you wish to use a marine radio
This course covers the use of marine VHF radios. You will learn how to make routine, distress and emergency calls as well as care of equipment.
RYA First Aid: The RYA's first aid award
This course looks at basic first aid, covering topics such as resuscitation and hypothermia among others.
