The Club is an approved RYA (Royal Yachting Association) training facility for Powerboat Levels 1 & 2, First Aid and also SRC (Short Range Certificate) VHF radio courses. We are also an approved training centre and training provider of the RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) and as such run various courses throughout the year. 

As a lifesaving club, we are affiliated to RLSS UK (The Royal Lifesaving Society UK) and our members train towards various RLSS UK awards.

Club membership is open to anybody 13 years or older, who has an interest in lifesaving, whether it be swimming or first aid biased. Club members get the chance to undertake various courses and also take part in safety covers and local competitions. 

The Club offers many and varied courses. Our aims are to make training affordable to all and to enable everyone to enjoy the water.
